Silverstein wrote all the songs for the Dr Hook and Sloppy Seconds albums, and Dr Hook And The Medicine Show were effectively the backing band for the Freakin' album. The Boy Named Sue album is the "plus" in this package. Most people know Dr Hook And The Medicine Show for their hugely successful singles "When You're In Love With a Beautiful Woman" and "Sexy Eyes" from the late 70s but the band had already been going nearly 10 years by then in various incarnations, Ray Sawyer who passed away in 2018 being the one constant. Whilst the first two albums did very well, Belly Up was not as successful. With the exception of that album, all the others have been available previously on CD but this is the first time they have been brought together in this fantastic value 2CD compilation.
