This is the follow-up to 2003's cult classic HELLO DOCTOR a record entirely about food and sex. For this one, they ditched their former "chipmunk rap" sound and moved on to a sound that's a mix of bubblegum, punk rock, comedy, and new wave. Weirdness.

Taking cues from Le Tigre's cherry bomb beats and Peaches' freakazoidal raps, Gravy Train!!!! melted electroclash's ice-cold poses with hot human messiness on their 2003 full-length debut, Hello Doctor. On Are You Wigglin?, pansexual co-eds Chunx, Hunx, Funx and Junx (replacing Drunx) expand their song topics of sex and fast food to the compelling issues of our day. "Ghost Boobs" tackles the problems of women losing weight up top when the diet was supposed to eliminate the unwanted gut. Over Munsters organs and robotic drumbeats, voluptuous frontwoman Chunx mourns, "Her boyfriend he did weep/ He thought her twiddles would keep." It's as tragic as Jimmy's motorcycle accident in the Shangri-Las' "Leader of the Pack."

Elsewhere, "Johnny Makeup" naughtily updates "Johnny Are You Queer?," while referencing Toni Basil and Donna Summer. Runaway grooms fall for the charms of the running man on "Stop the Wedding," and tanning can have fatal consequences on "Darque Tan." Even if the music is hardly revolutionary, Gravy Train!!!! throw the kind of parties where you don't have to be a size zero to parade around in ruffly panties, or an Out coverboy to be sexy. In their hearts, they're like the B-52's: gay boys and new wave girls grooving on each other-and just grooving in general.
