Reviews:

"Apparently, Conor Oberst isn't Omaha's only talented young folk-rock poet. The Bright Eyes main man would like you to meet his pal, Neva Dinova's Jake Bellows, a heart-on-sleeve troubadour who shares his passion for mournful, country-tinged ballads. This short split EP confirms Oberst's status as one of indie rock's most mesmerizing storytellers while introducing Bellows as a powerful wordsmith on the rise. Bellows' flutter isn't as gut-wrenching as Oberst's sob, but his lyrics are just as devastating: ""Keep those that you love / the furthest from you / and try to take care of them too,"" he sings on ""Get Back,"" as the music conjures a lonely, late-night honky-tonk. Essential listening for lovelorn emo kids. And really, is there any other kind of emo kid?
