As heard on Sirius Radio!!!!!! ***A Parents' Choice 2004 Approved Award Winner*** *** 'Ants In My Pants' honored as Best Song in Preschool Category by Children's Music Web Awards*** Pam Blanchard and the Sunny-Side Up Band have been making music for children for over seven years. Pam is the songwriter, lead singer, and rhythm guitar player for the band. She has won two honorable mentions in the international John Lennon Songwriting contest, and has been awarded two Puffin Foundation grants for her work with children. The songs she writes are from a young child's perspective and allow the children to move and interact. The band is comprised of 5 other talented musicians: Danny Conkle, Joe Ellison, Kemp Jones, Melinda Kershner and Michael Wegner, who turn each song into a musical playground. They have now produced their 3rd album of music, and with it they bring their ability to play in any style: jazz, country, rock, gospel, reggae, blues . . . They also bring the sounds of over 13 instruments to young ears: drums, conga, percussion, keyboard, bass, acoustic and electric guitars, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, saxophone, flute and clarinet. To top it off, they add 3-part harmony. On their latest album 'Let's Share It', the band is joined by Domingo 'Sunny' Ortiz the percussionist of the band Widespread Panic as a guest artist on three tracks. The CD is a fun time for the entire family. From hopping happy songs like 'Ants In My Pants' and 'Deep-Down Wigglin' Blues' to sing-a-longs like 'Cut Up The Watermelon, Mary Porter' and 'I'm Thankful', this CD provides a fun full spectrum of musical tastes for all children and their adults. With catchy tunes and memorable hooks the band has created a collection of music that will entertain and educate children. It's a great album to introduce your child to music.
