Fingerprints Music

Digitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of albums from the late Country great on one CD. Ironically for a man whose erratic behavior won him the nickname 'No-Show Jones', Country superstar George Jones failed to complete his 2013 farewell tour. His death in April 2013 in the middle of his live swansong made headlines worldwide, for he had packed much incident and music into his 81 years. Too Wild Too Long released in 1987 peaked at #14 on the Billboard Country Album Chart. Three singles were taken from the album, 'I'm a Survivor', 'The Bird' and 'The Old Man No-one Loves'. You Oughta Be Here with Me from 1990 produced two singles, 'Hell Stays Open (All Night Long)' and 'Six Foot Deep, Six Foot Down'. The writing credits of You Oughta Be Here with Me yield some interesting names: The title track was penned by veteran Roger Miller, while 'Someone That You Used to Know' was a co-write by Bobby Whitlock (of Derek and the Dominos fame) and Jack Tempchin, who was involved with the Eagles' early hits.
