Reviews:
''Ringleader of the Tormentors'' is Morrissey's eighth solo album, which debuted at number one in the UK album charts and number twenty-seven in the US. It also hit no. 1 in Sweden, Malta and Greece. ''Billboard magazine'' described the album as showcasing "a thicker, more rock-driven sound"; Morrissey attributes this change in sound to new guitarist Jesse Tobias. The album was released on 3 April 2006 in most of the world and on 4 April 2006 in North America. The album was released on the Attack Records label. - Wikipedia
Look out, hes right behind you! Dont you realize that the more you ignore Morrissey, the closer he gets? He made that pretty clear, after all. So lets keep the old chap at a safe distance and pay him a spot of attention, shall we? The onetime British pop idol is now an aging fetish object for a cult comprised largely of a) 30-ish ladies who keep in close touch with their sullen teen selves, and b) fascinated Latinos. (No, we dont understand the latter part either, but its true, honest.)
Ringleader of the Tormentors is sure to satisfy both segments of his fan base. Longtime Bowie associate Tony Visconti produced, legendary film composer Ennio Morricone arranged strings for "Dear God Please Help Me," and when youve got titles like "Life Is a Pigsty" and "Ill Never Be Anybodys Hero Now," the songs just write themselves, no?
